Customize a package recipe - Lacy Butterscotch Chips

Just change a few things in a recipe - a measure of an ingredient or cooking at high temperatures - can have dramatic consequences. I am always surprised by this. Even if you do not know why I rarely cook a recipe, as written. I'm not afraid to do because I have a grandmother and I have many years of cooking experience.

This morning I had a sudden urge to bake cookies. Although I have hundreds of family cookierecipes I preferred: Chocolate Chip, Almond Chinese tendFootprint, gingerbread, cinnamon, sugar (Snickerdoodles) and others. What kind of cookies I do?

By opening the office door, I looked on the shelves. I had the brown sugar and baked potatoes, but they were kind of caramel. Although I have a dozen eggs and a half, I had no butter. However, I had I Can not Believe It's Not Butter margarine, a product with 50% less saturated fat of butter. Since I had the basic ingredients, I decided to make the recipe for a lot of pressChip package.

He called for two sticks of butter and margarine, I replaced. Instead of vanilla extract in the recipe suggested orange peel. I used orange extract. I went from eggs to a large egg and egg substitute. Finally I decided to half white and half wheat flour.

Since I am with non-stick baking sheet, I lowered the oven temperature to 375-350 degrees. If warm freshly baked cookies, I was surprised. They have the same texturecookies with chocolate chips, have a better structure and are tender, crisp and Lacy. The orange taste was a good balance of sweet sugar.

My husband liked the cookies so much, I add the recipe to our list of family favorites. I think your family is so caramel chips Lacy love like mine. Add biscuit crumbs, vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt for a special treatment.
