Super Chocolate Cookies

SUPER CHOCOLATE COOKIES

Ingredients:

½-cup Walnuts, chopped

8-ounces Cream cheese, softened

1-teaspoon Vanilla

1-stick Butter, softened

1-large Egg

1-box (18¼-ounces) Chocolate cake mix

12-ounces Chocolate frosting

¼-cup Powdered sugar

¼-cup Sprinkles

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°. Beat Butter, vanilla, and cream cheese until smooth. Add egg; beat at medium speed until well blended. Add cake mix; beat at low speed for about 2 minutes or until mixture is smooth; stir in chopped walnuts. Shape cookie dough into 1-inch balls and place 1-inch apart on cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Bake for 8 minutes, cookies will look under baked, but they are not. Let cookies stand on cookie sheets for 5 minutes; transfer to foil or wire racks to cool completely. Spoon 1 teaspoon of chocolate frosting and spread over cookie; sprinkle each cookie with powdered sugar and sprinkles.

Makes about 4 dozen cookies

Note: Sometimes to change these up I substitute the vanilla with another extract such as strawberry extract.
